Street map help

To be able to use the street map you only need to know what the tools are for, how to make a search and how to obtain further information about an item on the map.

Tools: There are five of these, very easy to use.
Close up: Draw the map closer to you. This lets you see the map in greater detail. You can use this in two ways: by dragging along the cursor and drawing the zone you would like to blow-up; or by clicking you get closer to the point you are clicking on little by little. Be careful! There are parts of the map that you have to get close up to in order to see them properly: small streets, there are two items very close, ...
Draw away: Distances the map from you from the point which you have clicked on. This lets you see a larger area of the map and get your bearings better. If you press this several times you can see an aerial view of the whole municipality.
Move: Use this tool to move the map and be able to see the zone you want.
Information: When you click on the icon of an item from the map this is selected with a red dot and you are shown the information about this item in the "Information, item selected" box (a yellow box on the left-hand side of the web page). Careful! If you are looking at the map from high above you may select several items from the map at the same time. You will only be shown information if you select an item.
Measuring distances: At the bottom of the map there are a further two buttons. The one located on the left is for selecting the tool for measuring distances and the other is for erasing the current measurement.
This is very simple, just locate the start and end point ( preferably visible on the map at the same time). Select the tool and click from the beginning to the end in each of the turns.
If you are viewing the map from very close up and cannot see the end point, you can select any tool to allow you to see this and then continue with the measuring process.

Searches: The searches are divided into two types. You can search in streets and in places of interest.
If you are looking for a street you only have to write its name. If this is a compound name just introduce one part, For example, type in "blasco", and you will find the street "Blasco Ibáņez".
If you are looking for a place of interest you have two possibilities: 1. Type in the name of the place or 2. Type in the sort of place you are looking for.s
